The Bin Activator is generally acknowledged to be the most effective means of discharging difficult materials from bins and silos. Over the years as the number of competing manufacturers has increased, design has in many cases been sacrificed and price has become the major consideration. It is as true now as it ever was that quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten.
Dowson Activators are heavy duty as standard, designed to give years of satisfactory service.
Suspension hangers are solid steel drilled at 90° to ensure that the activator will never move off centre.
The energy efficient cone outlet ensures no impediment to discharge.
The secondary baffle is no gimmick, but an aid to discharge at the outlet often eliminating the need for surge hoppers and cycling and particularly relevant when a low discharge rate is required.
Activators are available in sizes from 600mm to 4.8 metres diameter suitable for all sizes of bins and silos from small feed hoppers through to silos of hundreds and in many cases thousands of tons capacity.
Live bin and sanitary designs (USDA approved if necessary) are available. Steam injection and other features can be incorporated. Available in mild steel and stainless steel.
